"The Lord says: “These people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. Their worship of me is based on merely human rules they have been taught." Isaiah 29:13
He is talking about us, the church. These people "the church" come near me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. Why exactly does he tell us this? Because its true if we are honest. Although he gave his life for us and asks us with humble hearts to give cheerfully but you, me, and everyone else who claims to follow God it says "their worship is based merely on human rules they have been taught." Our worship is sadely true thats its based on that but if we allow ourselves to just get lost in it. How much more can we truly gain from being with someone of the mindset with God.
